Newspaper #144

What’s up, everyone?! Today launched a great new newspaper and I have some great news for you all that I’ll tell at the end of this post. But we’ll begin with the newspaper, shall we?

The main story is about the return of the superheroes and their play at the Stage.

Some other stories like one telling about how the Keeper (green Puffle @ Night Club) is now at the Ice Rink or In Focus about penguin Races.

Then one of the coolest things in the newspaper is that thing where you have to choose words and there will come a story, this time it’s about the penguin band and how they do something with the Iceberg.
Here’s an example:

Events:

• July 18: New Pin, new Furniture Catalog, new Igloo Music.
• July 25-30: Club Penguin Music Jam 2008!
• August 1: New Clothing Catalog.

GWA
You might already know that GWA (Wwe Adam, Supposed2, Gator360’s video group) is having a big party next week. Well, I’ll be there and will you be? It’ll be great with lots of famous penguins coming. It’s also for Wwe Adam’s 1.000.000 hits.

Only I have even better news: GWA is also having a contest for a 4th member in GWA (for one day). And… I’m in the final!!! I’m really happy!

Newspaper #139 + Mission Sneak Peek

Hey guys, a new newspaper was released today, it’s the #139th issue. Read it here.

This time the newspaper doesn’t have a big cover story, also there are lots of ads in the paper.

Secret Message
On the page The PSA Wants You there is a secret message, click on one of the words “secret”.

And the message will appear, it’s in the secret penguin code. Here is a translated version of the message.

The Penguins That Time Forgot

The new play at the Stage will be called “The Penguins That Time Forgot”, it will be about time-travel and cavemen/cavepenguins.

Summer Sneak Peek (With Secret)
Just like last week there is a Summer Sneak Peak, you can mouse over words to read stuff and drag images. But this time with a secret, click on the Propellor Hat to read a small update on Penguin Mail.

The layout of the events has totally changed, it is now two pages instead of one, it has images and is just bigger & better.

Mission Sneak Peek
Today on the Club Penguin Blog, BillyBob released a sneak peek of mission 8. It will be a continue of mission 7 (and 5 & 6). Also the image looks like a vulcano. Read more about the sneak peek here.

Hey today there’s a new Newspaper (#135), click ->HERE<- to read it.

Story
The story about 3 knights of last week continues this week, there wont be another part.

Ye Olde Igloo Contest
The Igloo Contest will start May 23, the winners will be revealed on May 29. They will win 10.000 coins. To enter just decorate Ur Igloo, the theme is Medieval but you don’t have to decorate Ur Igloo Medievally to win.

Word Chooser/Make A Poem-Thingy
There is another thing where you have to choose some words and that will make a poem, this time it’s about a Penguin knight, here’s an example of one of the poems:

Newspaper #134

The new Newspaper is out today, it’s the 134th Edition of The Club Penguin Times. Click ->HERE<- to read it.

Party
The secret message in the Clothing Catalog has been found and told to the CPT (Club Penguin Times), The party is still a big surprise, it will be using the Switchbox 3000 for something. The theme is, indeed, a Midevil knights, kings, queens, dragons etc. theme. It will be next week Friday (the 16th).

Story
In the newspaper you can read about a story about 3 penguin knights. It will be continued in issue #135.

In Focus
This week “In Focus” is about the Underground Pool, Mine & Boiler Room. It also has tips for being a good Tour Guide.

Igloo Parties
There are some good Tips & Secrets on having a great party, like dressing up your Igloo, shouting in the Town about Ur party, and having lots of food. And good music!!

Club Penguin Times Review
The Club Penguin Times is reviewed by a penguin. Conclusion: It’s Great!

Poetry

Rockhopper’s Pot
For the Members you could buy a Flower Pot from Rockhopper’s rowing boat (, Non-Members could get a T-shirt), now Rockhopper is gone, but for the ones who bought that pot and put it in their igloo, a flower didn’t grow outta the pot. But if you now vist an igloo with that pot (maybe your igloo) you can see that a flower is growing in the pot. So I think that maybe every two weeks or something, a little more plant will grow.

The Book Room story contest starts tomorrow! We know that a lot of you have great imaginations and love to write and many of you have suggested that we run another writing contest!  I can’t wait to see who wins!

Here are the contest details:

• Starting Thursday, May 1 go to the Club Penguin Times and find the contest page
• Pick a theme
• Write your story (up to 500 words)
• Submit it (you can copy and paste into the contest form in the newspaper)
• Submissions will be accepted until May 7
• 3 winners will be chosen and their stories added to the Book Room on May 30!

 

 

 

In other news: You may have noticed you can now play Club Penguin in ‘Big Screen’ mode! It was launched yesterday–something many of you have suggested for a long time! When you login to Club Penguin the view mode of Club Penguin will be bigger than it was before we launched this feature.

To make the ‘Big Screen’ mode bigger or smaller, simply change the size of your browser window by shrinking or expanding it or pressing F11. As always, let us know what you think!
