Making Items by Screenhog

Hey, Screenhog just posted an awesome post on the CP Blog on making items:

Decide, Design, Draw, 3D… CP thought you might want to see how CP makes an item for Club Penguin.
 
Step 1: Decide. Usually, items are related to what events are happening that month, or where it will be used (like the costumes in the Costume Trunk).

Step 2: Design it. A rough drawing is made of what we think the item should look like (in this case, a tuba).

Step 3: A final drawing is made. This is a clean-up of the rough drawing, with detail, color, and shading added. The icon is also made (this is the drawing of the item that’s in your inventory).
 
Step 4: The clothing item is then made in 3D.

Finally, it’s done!

Halloween Party 2008 Cheats

Happy Halloween! Club Penguin has started on off the most successful parties with almost every room decorated. No eclipse, but with the storm as replacement you’ll see some lightning once in a while!

Pick up a Halloween Pumpkin Basket at the Snow Forts!

Once you have a basket you can start the Candy Scavenger Hunt. The first piece of candy is located at the Snow Forts, too. Click on the blue flag and it’ll be replaced by a chocolate bar.

The 2nd piece of candy can be found at the Dance Lounge. Click on the lamp, and the candy will reveal itself.

The 3rd candy is located at the Lodge Attic. Click on the blue box and out will come a red lollipop.

The 4th candy is located at the Plaza, in the black pot. Click on the green goo inside the pot and the pink candy will appear.

The 5th piece of candy is located at the Cove. Click on the “Caution! Swim At Your Own Risk” sign. The candy will fly out onto the surf hut.

The 6th piece of candy is located at the Iceberg. Click on the aurora that is shining in the sky. A caramel fugde will appear.

The 7th piece of candy is located at the Beacon. After there is lightning three times, a candy apple should appear in the large pumpkin.

The 8th piece of candy is located in the Book Room. Hover over the glowing candle and the book will open. Out will role a piece of candy.

Now you have collected all the candy! Claim your prize.

The prize is a Giant Pumpkin Background.

There is a secret room located beyond on the Book Room. Click on the candle and it will open the secret door to the Lab. To get into the Lab you’ll need the Rad Scientist Outfit, so you will have to be a member.

You can pick up a Lantern inside of the Lab!

Club Penguin Toys Released and Unlock Items

The Club Penguin Toys and Books are released online and in Toys “Я” Us & Disney stores. On each to there’s a Coin with a code on the back.

When you go to play.clubpenguin.com you’ll see an “Unlock Items Online” sign in the top right of the screen.

Click on it and log in/select your Penguin.

Then you can choose between a book or a code (so if you have a book, select book. If you have a toy with a coin, select code).

Fill in your code (or words if you have a book) succesfully and you will go to The Treasure Book. To view the catalog without a code (you can’t get any items), click here.

One secret in this “catalog´´, click on the highlighted window in the building on the Adventure (Stage) page.

To get the Winged Viking Helmet, an item that Rockhopper once gave as a free item.

IN OTHER NEWS: The new Yearbook has some secrets, so you can view all the Pins of that year. Try to find ’em yourself!

Plush Toys With Special Coins

As you know Plush Penguin Toys will be for sale real soon (± next week). You might already know that with the toys you can get items for your penguin online.

Well, attached to every penguin toy is a coin. Every coin will be different so it will also be fun to collect the coins. On the side of the coin is a code that you can activate at Club Penguin.com and then you can get a cool item. These items will be brand new items or very old & rare items. Ánd this will work for both member and non-members.

September ’08 Catalog Cheats

A new Clothing and Wig Catalog were released today. The Stage is also under construction.

Many new items were released, but many old items came back. One of those items include the Blue Duffel Coat and the Pink Hoodie.

Click on the Yellow Puffle for the Red Viking Helmet. Click the Puffle about 4 times for the Blue Viking Helmet.

Click on the yellow Penguin’s Beak for the Mixed Bracelets.

Click on the Sunburst Acoustic Guitar for the Jade Necklace.

One new awesome Background was released too!

In the Wig Catalog, click on the Spikester for the Spikette (as always)!

Stage
The Stage is under construction preparing for a new play.
Some features are:

• Construction sign at the Plaza.                                                                                                                   
• Click on the Puffles for the Yellow Puffle to appear.

Rockhopper + Sports Catalog!

Rockhopper is back in town!! You might meet him, or just visit his ship and check out the items. 😦 Again another old item returned, the Stuffed Parot, now all the noobs can walk around in it and I can never wear it again ’cause it’s so new, why doesn’t Club Penguin think of some new cool items?? Anyway, the free item is, like I said, the Stuffed Parot (together with some furniture and member clothes).

Also be sure to check out the Notice Board in the Captain’s Quarters (haven’t found the key yet, it in the last page of Rockhopper’s Journal (Book Room)), because it’s changed!

Sports Catalog
There is a new Sports Catalog, this time the theme is…… Sport 😆 But it has some cool stuff like basketballs, (American) footballs and soccerballs. And try dancing with the soccerball and see what happens 😉 There is one new secret; click on the soccerball for the cleats.

Then there is the silver surfboard cheat, and a new background.

Newspaper #139 + Mission Sneak Peek

Hey guys, a new newspaper was released today, it’s the #139th issue. Read it here.

This time the newspaper doesn’t have a big cover story, also there are lots of ads in the paper.

Secret Message
On the page The PSA Wants You there is a secret message, click on one of the words “secret”.

And the message will appear, it’s in the secret penguin code. Here is a translated version of the message.

The Penguins That Time Forgot

The new play at the Stage will be called “The Penguins That Time Forgot”, it will be about time-travel and cavemen/cavepenguins.

Summer Sneak Peek (With Secret)
Just like last week there is a Summer Sneak Peak, you can mouse over words to read stuff and drag images. But this time with a secret, click on the Propellor Hat to read a small update on Penguin Mail.

The layout of the events has totally changed, it is now two pages instead of one, it has images and is just bigger & better.

Mission Sneak Peek
Today on the Club Penguin Blog, BillyBob released a sneak peek of mission 8. It will be a continue of mission 7 (and 5 & 6). Also the image looks like a vulcano. Read more about the sneak peek here.

Rockhopper and Yarr’s Party

Hi, today is the Pirate Party. But I can’t log in on Club Penguin today for some reason. For the reason of not logging in, check the last part of this post! The information I have is from other websites.
The party is the same like last year’s Pirate Party.

Items:
There is a T-shirt at the beach, but this was already yesterday and in my last post.

There is a Sailor Hat at the Plaza (just like last year, same item, same place).

So for older penguins who were there at last year’s Pirate Party; it’s a bit boring (only a pin), but still it’s a party, and parties are always C 🙂 8) L!

And there’s a new Sports Catalog, but with no secrets or new backgrounds, but with some cool baseball stuff.

And on the Club Penguin homepage (you know, www.clubpenguin.com) the Migrator is there.

Not Logging In:
The servers aren’t working, but it’s something with Club Penguin that they’re updating, so nothing to do with your computer, first I thought it was something with my computer, but then other penguins also noticed it, this is why I couldn’t make pictures of my own for this post.

Missing Items

Hello Penguins!
